NEW YORK, Oct 14, 2013/ — Following its first-ever Filmmaker in Residence initiative with English Director and Writer Andrea Arnold on October 3rd, Jaeger-LeCoultre supported this week two major Cinema achievements as part of its multi-year partnership with the Film Society of Lincoln Center: the New York Premiere of 12 YEARS A SLAVE directed by Steve McQueen and the Tribute Gala honoring Ralph Fiennes.
On October 8th, Jaeger-LeCoultre and the Film Society of Lincoln Center welcomed Director Steve McQueen for his new film 12 YEARS A SLAVE, written by John Ridley and based on the true story Solomon Northup, a free black man from upstate New York, abducted and sold into slavery.
The evening was punctuated by the screening of the film followed by a Q&A session with the cast of the movie including Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender, Lupita Nyong’o, Sarah Paulson, Paul Dano.
