DALLAS, Jun 9, 2012/ — It’s amazing how we as shoppers or mall denizens only see the stores and the boutiques inside a mall. Case in point, these beautiful cactus plants are all over Northpark Center in Dallas.
Before I took the photos, I stood around for a few minutes and tried to observe the people passing by. I could honestly say that all of them did not even give the plants a second look. And quite frankly, I am confident enough to guess that more than half of them did not even notice the cactus.
Yet, it is obvious that these plants were placed there to give the mall a personality. And if I may go further, it’s there both as a decoration and also to create a certain atmosphere.
When I was shooting these photos, several gave me a cursory glance. Noticing my camera, they made themselves scarce so that I can get a nice “solo” photo. Dallasites are nice that way.
To give readers a certain perspective, I shot some photos that actually showed the surrounding stores.
