Book Review: Bride by Mistake by Nicole Helm

bride by mistakeUnrequited love and a tale of redemption, “Bride by Mistake” begins with the unlikely friendship of two wounded hearts. The town’s “good girl” Kaitlin Shuller saw her longtime love marry his sister while the town’s “bad boy” and pariah Beckett Larson just lost his only friend in Marietta.

Licking their own wounds, Kaitlin and Beckett found themselves commiserating together that ended into a one night hook-up. Their affair should have ended in the morning but there were consequences. The result: Kaitlin and Beckett need to get over their broken hearts or else they will be in deeper trouble than before.

Short, sweet and told in a leisurely fashion, “Bride by Mistake” teaches us not to judge a book by its cover and the book happens to be ourselves! Kaitlin and Beckett have to face their own demons and their own insecurities before they can take a step forward and learn to love themselves.

Was it a song that told us that the greatest love of all is learning to love ourselves?

Bride by Mistake is Rated T for Teens due to adult situations. There is one sex scene which is implied and not graphic.
