Aguaclara was created in 1989 by two siblings, Jorge and Liliana Villalobos. They launched their company with a vision to design custom-made swimwear, starting with a small manufacturing workshop making personalized garments.
While Jorge, the Executive Director, handles the Administrative and Strategic planning areas, Liliana Villalobos, the creative director and designer of the line, looks for new trends with her restless traveling, incorporating these trends into unique, one-of-a kind pieces that are designed with highly elaborate embroidery, exclusively developed prints, and handmade natural accessories.
To date, the company exports to the United States, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain, France, Greece, Australia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Panama, Venezuela, Ecuador, Chile, Bahamas, Virgin Islands, Barbados, Curazao, Trinidad & Tobago, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Poland, and Lebanon.
