DALLAS, Jul 1, 2012/ — Last Friday, “Magic Mike” opened in theaters nationwide and just like that, People Magazine will have a hard time deciding next year’s Sexiest Man Alive.
It will be really hard to choose from this all-star cast of Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Cody Horn, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Matthew McConaughey. But geekdom only has its eyes on one – Alex Pettyfer, a.k.a. Number Four in the movie “I am Number Four,” a teen-action science fiction film based on the book with the same title.
Though Alex Pettyfer received his big break in Stormbreaker, a 2006 teen-age spy film, he did not enter the movie audience’s consciousness until “I am Number Four” which was released in Feb 2011. And while he was a big hit in geekdom, Alex became a bigger hit among fashionistas when he modeled for Burberry.
And now, at 22 (he was born on April 10, 1990), he is finally shedding his child star / teen-heartthrob status with “Magic Mike”, where he plays Adam /The Kid, a male stripper.
