Balmain & Vogue Celebrate the Launch of “Le Pierre”

NEW YORK, Dec 12, 2012/ — Already one of Kate Moss’ favorite totes, the Balmain “Pierre” bag is the work of French designer Aurelie Bidermann, known for her fanciful jewelry pieces.

Bidermann and Balmain’s Creative Director Olivier Rousteing both appreciated each other’s workas they often saw their pieces featured together in photo spreads before they were introduced by friends. Their creative discussions they had ultimately led to talk about bags and soon after, the “Pierre” bag was born.

Last night at the Red Rooster Harlem, Olivier Rousteng and Aurélie Bidermann celebrated the “Pierre” bag with a private dinner, which was co-hosted by Vogue.
