I have to admit that I downloaded a copy of “Finding Harry Styles” out of curiosity. With the global popularity of One Direction, it is hard to miss the title.
And with the storyline based on a post-apocalyptic world, I find it more than just interesting. I was not disappointed!
From the many supporting characters that we meet along the way plus the main characters, “Finding Harry Styles” is about survival, friendship and love. Though these themes can usually be found in post-apocalyptic stories, author G.B. Hope added humor into the mix. Because of that, “Finding Harry Styles” rose above the rest in this very competitive genre.
An enjoyable read, “Finding Harry Styles” should be in your Spring/Summer must read.
“Finding Harry Styles” is Rated T for Teens due to violence.
When a total power black-out hits the world – planes falling from the sky, cars crashing, cell phones and computers dying – two Englishmen are stranded, separately, on the east coast of the US. They both try to make their way to their girlfriend and sister, respectively, who is trapped in New York. As society turns quickly to chaos, the two men encounter violence, tragedy, friendships and adventure, joined along the way by several different characters.
Meanwhile, the girl they are working their way towards is surviving as best as she can, all the while terribly worried for her idol: Harry Styles, of the band One Direction, who were performing in New York at the time of the unexplained apocalyptic event.
