Book Review: Here Comes the Bride by Rita Herron

Rating:

A Fun Fast Read

Switching places with her twin sister Marci, Kimberly once again found herself in hot water. This time, her irresponsible yet lovable twin had agreed to be a fake fiancee for a weekend with Austin, a customer at the coffee shop that Marci works in but whom Kimberly has never met.

It was an easy enough switch, that is, until Kimberly found herself disturbingly attracted to Austin while also falling in love with his family.

***SPOILER ALERT***
It’s beautifully written and the protagonists are quite lovable but I had to suspend my disbelief on the Kimberly and Austin getting impulsively getting married. Here are two people who were presented as very level headed but they easily bowed to peer pressure. Somehow, though the reasoning was logical to a certain degree, it was just hard to see Austin who was so gung ho about his career as an architect enough not to even date for over six months and Kimberly who was so involved also with her job could not say no to the prodding for them to get married, however well-meaning that was.

Other than that, Kimberly and Austin are fun characters and teh book was a fun easy read.
