Book Review: High Class by Mel Teshco

A retelling of the Pretty Woman tale, “High Class” brings readers to the swirling social life of Sydney, the rich, the famous and its influential set. And like any big city, the beautiful people you meet might not be what they appear to be.

Take Claire Davis for instance. A high class call girl, sleeping with billionaire businessmen to pay the bills, rubs elbows with the highest echelon of society. Going by the nom de guerre Scarlet when on the job, Claire is just the girl next door when she sheds her “Scarlet” persona.

Always careful to separate her personal life from her professional life, Claire found herself in a conundrum when Mackenzie Smitherson walked into her life. A self-made man, Mack has his own agenda and it includes Scarlet. The question is can Claire handle it?

A very fast read, “High Class” brings into light how the other half of the “pretty woman” life. It’s a variation of the Cinderella theme with the Prince not as charming as the one in the fairy tale.

High Class” is Rated M for Mature due to sexual content. 4 Stars.
