Book Review: Hold Me, Cowboy by Alissa Callen

Hold Me CowboySometimes, love is not enough! That is the premise of “Hold Me, Cowboy,” at first glance. Childhood friends Kendall Dixon and Brent Ashton have been in love with each other since they were kids. Of course, in the beginning, when they were knee-high, it was friendship, which turned into a crush as they grew older, then full blown love as adults.

There is one problem though. They cannot find the courage to tell each other how they feel. And, to make things worse, Brent left their hometown Marietta to honor a promise made on his father’s deathbed – travel the world.

Years passed and Brent is back in Marietta. Their feelings for each other had not diminished. But, true to form, they are once again holding back themselves. How do they find their happily ever after when the biggest obstacle is themselves? Read and find out!

Hold Me, Cowboy” is an easy read though there are times when you want to hold the hero and heroine on their shoulders and shake them. Aside from that, it’s actually a good read.

Hold Me, Cowboy” is Rated T for Teens.

The Copper Mountain Rodeo has returned to Marietta and cowboy reputations aren’t the only thing at stake…

Marietta home town girl Kendall Dixon knows who she is and what she wants, even if the stubborn and slow-smiling cowboy who owns her heart is long gone from Montana.

Rancher Brent Ashton returns to Marietta to care for his sick mother. Haunted by the death of his father, he is determined to save his derelict home and resist rekindling the romance with the only girl he’s ever loved so that she doesn’t sacrifice her dreams for him.

But the shy and sweet Kendall he left behind has become a strong and determined woman. A woman who won’t let her cowboy walk away for a second time.
