Book Review: Hot Secrets by Lisa Renee Jones

hot secretsThis is actually a re-read for me. I believe that I read “Hot Secrets ” when it first came out in 2012 and since then, the series “Tall Dark & Deadly Series” wherein “Hot Secrets” was the first book had become a USA TODAY and NY Times bestseller.

And though two years had passed since I first met Royce Walker and Lauren Reynolds, the hero and heroine in “Hot Secrets ”, their love story is as steamy and as sexy as ever. Re-reading it again reminded me that author Lisa Renee Jones can actually give E.L. James, author of “Fifty Shades of Grey” a run for him money.

As the book description said, former FBI Agent Royce Walker who is now head of his own security firm was asked by Senator Reynolds to keep his daughter Lauren safe.

An Assistant District Attorney, Lauren is handling a high profile death penalty case and she was in denial that her life is in danger. To Lauren, being in the same room with Royce Walker is more dangerous than the psychos who were after her.

The chemistry between Royce and Lauren is so volatile; their passion burning between them is rivaled only by the menace that threatens Lauren. And with the clock ticking, Royce and Lauren have to find a way to survive without destroying the love they have.A mystery/thriller as much as it is an erotica romance, “Hot Secrets ” will keep you at the edge of your seat from beginning to end.

This book is Rated M for Mature due to sexual content and violence.
