To use one of my grandmother’s expressions, “Katie Ruggle can tell a good yarn.” I thought I understood what she meant, but I did not fully grasp it until I read “In Her Sights
When I read that, my first reaction was “huh? Is that possible? The heroines are bounty hunters.” My knowledge of bounty hunters is based on Clint Eastwood’s westerns and recently, just the media coverage of the reality show, “Dog, the Bounty Hunter.”
So, I was having doubts even before I started reading. Don’t get me wrong, I love reading Katie Ruggle. In fact, she is one of my favorite romantic suspense authors. But, bounty hunters? Where is the romance in that?
Well, I should have not doubted Katie. (Please accept my apologies Katie. I was so wrong!!!) I should have not doubted this Police Academy grad. She knows her craft and once again, she delivered. “In Her Sights” turned out to be a slow burn romance with high octane chases.
