Book Review: Jordan’s Return by Samantha Chase

“Love is lovelier the second time around,” goes an old saying. In “Jordan’s Return,” it could not have been truer when high school sweethearts Jordan Manning and Rob Tyler met again after their disastrous high school romance.

Both are older and their life experiences have made them a little wary of love. Jordan is recovering from a near fatal accident and an abusive ex-husband. Rob, who never married but has never forgotten Jordan took this chance meeting as a sign that the two of them can have a life together.

Poignant and bittersweet at times, “Jordan’s Return” tugs at your heartstrings. It is a story of love and forgiveness. It is also a story of the new normal, when a divorce breaks up a family and then a new one is forged by a second chance at love. Author Samantha Chase handled this with deft hands, her storytelling focusing on the renewal of the spirit rather than the other way around.
