I like Bella Andre and this is probably the nth book that I’ve read from her. And as always, Bella did not disappoint.
The story began with an ER drama ended with a disheartened Luke Carson at Janica Ellis’s doorsteps. From there on, the scenes sizzled. As the readers discovered Luke and Janica’s personalities, we become aware of the conflicted nature of their love affair. The author had set us up for a dramatic catharsis, which we got but somehow, it was too rushed, even contrite.
The book is an easy read and truly enjoyable. But I’m only giving it 4 stars because though I was ready to cry, I never reached that point.
