Book Review: To Love a Wolf by Paige Tyler

The fourth book in the highly successful SWAT (Special Wolf Alpha Team) Series, “To Love a Wolf” finds SWAT officer Landry Cooper in a quandary. Meeting Everly Danu in the middle of a bank robbery, Cooper has to keep her safe while also catching the bad guys and at the same time keep his inner wolf under control.

It was a tough situation but he did it. Unfortunately, the troubles were just beginning. Though very sure that Everly is The One for him, Cooper also has to deal with the brass in Dallas PD, Everly’s family and an old army buddy.

From the first book, the SWAT series has always been an adrenaline rush from beginning to end. But, though the first three gives you a few breathers, author Paige Tyler raised the ante in “To Love a Wolf.” With two subplots surrounding the main romantic plot between Cooper and Everly, it feels as if you are surfing a wave that crests three times!

The bedroom scenes are hot and the police procedural is gripping but it is the human interaction that actually breaks your heart. The anguish that Cooper and Everly felt together and alone is so heartbreaking at times.

Though all four books in the SWAT series stay within the theme, the storylines are so diverse and the lead characters in each book are so different from each other. It is hard to choose a favorite pair among the couples, so I will not choose one. All four books are stand alone though I can also honestly say that after reading “To Love a Wolf,” you will want to read the first three if you haven’t already.
