With the release of the final book in several of the book series I follow, this summer has been bittersweet for me. So, when I receive the ARC for “One More Moment” by Samantha Chase, I said, “Oh no, not another ending!”
I loved the Shaughnessy Brothers series and its offshoot, “Band on the Run,” so saying goodbye to the Shaughnessys a second time put a small pang in my heart. After all, I said goodbye to the Shaughnessy clan in October 2017 when Holiday Spice was published.
A year later, I’m saying goodbye to them again with “One More Moment,” the story of Julian Grayson, the drummer of Riley’s eponymous band Shaughnessy. And what a sweet farewell! Samantha Chase knows how to hold her audience and make them love the characters, both old and new, till the very end.
Rock stars are known for their egos and Julian Grayson has it as much as the next guy. So, when Charlotte Clark mistakenly thought of him as a homeless guy and paid for his coffee, Julian’s ego was scandalized beyond belief. Because to Julian, the impossible just happened – a girl was not falling all over his feet.
Charlotte Clark has a big heart and part for it fell for Julian. Except that it was not the usual “save your fellowman” feeling. There’s that attraction that made her heart pitter-patter. A mistaken identity made her fall in love with him, but the revelation of who Julian truly was complicated their situation. Plus, the paparazzi and Julian’s past added enough stress that just turned Charlotte world’s upside down.
To Julian and Charlotte, loving each other was never a question. The question was – is their love strong enough to survive Julian’s fame?
“One More Moment” is Rated T for Teens for some adult themes. Parental guidance is advised.

One More Moment
Julian Grayson is taking a break
…from his cheating fiancée
…from his band
…from his life in the spotlight
Charlotte Clark is devoted to her work
…to save the world
…to help the homeless
…to get a broken man back on his feet
When Charlotte Clark offers to pay for Julian Grayson’s coffee, the world-famous drummer assumes she wants something from him. But Charlotte has no idea who he is, and Julian can’t resist keeping up the charade—being incognito is a novelty and a relief. He’ll have to tell her…eventually. But as Charlotte cheerfully undertakes to transform his life, Julian realizes there’s something about her that gives him what he hasn’t felt in years: hope.
