Book Review: Return of the Cowgirl by Eve Gaddy

How do you tell a girl you love her when she does not remember who she is? To top it all, you know who she is and had been hired to find her!

That’s the dilemma PI Mitch Hardeman found himself in upon finding her quarry, the missing Glenna Gallagher of Marietta, Montana whom her brothers had been looking for some time.

In “Return of the Cowgirl ,” book 5 of The Gallaghers of Montana, Eve Gaddy brings her readers traipsing all over South America to find the only girl among the Gallagher siblings who happens to have amnesia. That is the reason why she had been missing. Or was it? Throwing in a little bit of romantic suspense, Gaddy gave Mitch and Glenna’s story an unexpected twist.

It’s actually a treat to be brought into these far away locales but don’t think for a moment that Gaddy forgot where the series is rooted.

The book title “Return of the Cowgirl ” means that we will all trek back to Montana and we all did to find familiar characters that it felt like a true homecoming. With all of the Gallaghers accounted for, Eve Gaddy has wrapped up the series in more ways than one.

As we followed Mitch and Glenna and witnessed how they fell in love, all the loose ends among the other Gallaghers were all tied up nicely. The ending was a very happy and emotional family reunion. No, it is not a tear jerker, but nevertheless, it will tug at your heartstrings and make you smile.

As we bid farewell to the Gallaghers, it’s also time to give Eve Gaddy kudos for writing a unique series about doctors in western stories. She made stethoscopes and Stetsons go together very well. Bravo!

Return of the Cowgirl ” is Rated M for Mature due to violence and some sexual content.
