In an era when the family has been marginalized thanks to high divorce rates and continuous rise of teen pregnancies, centering a series of stories to a tightly knit family seem like a throwback.
Yet, without philosophizing, a series like Montgomery Brothers is what we need. And I believe that is the reason why the series thrives. It acts as a balm to our injured consciousness of missing familial love, albeit just a few hours being immersed in a book.
