Book Review: Seducing the Bachelor by Sinclair Jayne

It might be cliché to say that “love comes from the most unexpected places,” but if you find it at your hometown, then it is not unexpected, right?

But, what if the unexpected is that the first girl who turned your head when you visit your hometown lives in your old house that you hated but yours anyway because it is your inheritance.

That is the situation that Special Forces sniper Colt Ewing found himself when he came back to Marietta, Montana after years in the Army. He saw Talon Reese, a single mom and veterinary student and he cannot get her out of his mind.

A little bit of mystery mixed in this sweet romance, “Seducing the Bachelor ” is more about enticing Colt to stay than tempting him to join Talon in her bed. Granted, those two burn the sheets anyway, but that is just incidental. The main story revolves around what someone calls home.

A short enjoyable read, “Seducing the Bachelor ” despite its title is actually about family. You will love Colt and Talon, plus the supporting cast. They all steal your heart. There is a little mystery that was still left in the end. But, since this is the beginning of a new series, I presume that it will be revealed in the next books.

Seducing the Bachelor ” is Rated T for Teens due to some sexual content which are not graphic.

Description

Single mom and veterinary student Talon Reese thinks she is volunteering her time, not her heart or her body, for Marietta Montana’s second annual Bachelor Auction. But when Bachelor number 3 hits the stage, igniting every hormone she forgot she possessed, she’s questioning her vow of no more men. With a man this drool worthy, some fun doesn’t have to be off the table, even if she’s not looking for a relationship.

Special Forces sniper Colt Ewing blew out of Marietta on graduation day and never looked back, until his former football coach asked for his help. Standing on the auction block is a tough mission for Colt until he meets his winning bidder, a woman who’s as warm and friendly as he is aloof and silent. All night her mouth has been creating sexual fantasies, so when she opens it to boldly proposition him, there’s no way in hell he’s going to say no.

But as Colt and Talon burn up the sheets, he begins to forget why he hates this town, and Talon wonders if she can learn to trust enough to fall in love. But will that be enough to convince him to stay?
