No, this is not a retelling of Scrooge. There’s no one resembling Ebenezer here. But, there are ghosts and yes, there are wolves too.
Meghan MacTire, the only unmated wolf of the MacTire triplets can see and talk to ghosts. With Christmas coming, the resident ghost of the Victorian Inn that the sisters own had been very vocal to the point that even those who did not have Meghan’s gift can actually hear her.
So, at first, Meghan’s plan was just to help her, but Murphy’s law took effect. Someone from Meghan’s past blew into Silvertown and his presence could derail her blossoming relationship with Sheriff Peter Jorgenson.
And seemed that the past was finally catching up with Silvertown as an old wolf presumed dead seemed to have risen from the grave. And there were other ghosts too. These blasts from the past could endanger the town’s future not just Meghan and Peter’s.
Still, before they could solve the town’s problem, Meghan and Peter must solve theirs first. But, could they? It seems that the problems are one and the same!
An easy read with lots of swoon-worthy moments. Some are dicey too. Meghan and Peter are lovable characters. The wolves of Silvertown from the earlier books also make cameo appearances. It’s a great round up of the Silvertown series. After all, this is book 9.
