Book Review: X-Ops Exposed by Paige Tyler

X-Ops Exposed coverAnd now, with the release of “X-Ops Exposed,” Paige Tyler’s X-Ops series begins its second story arc, or for TV fans like me, the second season.

On my review of “Her Dark Half” (Book 7), I essentially said that the X-Ops as we know it has changed and we will be seeing new players, even new villains. “X-Ops Exposed” (Book 8) made my prediction come true as new characters were introduced.

But, don’t worry. There is no loss in continuity with many of our heroes and heroines still around. Still, this book is about Tanner and Zarina, and these star-crossed lovers found themselves in the West Coast. While the X-Ops members in the East Coast fight their own battles, Tanner and Zarina found themselves accidentally entangled with crime lords who do not care who lives or dies as long as they make a profit.

Tanner and Zarina who had barely accepted their feelings for one another have to face unexpected enemies yet find help also from an unexpected source.

X-Ops Exposed” is not just a romantic thriller; it is also a story about family, of forgiveness and acceptance. Many of the characters will tug at your heartstrings. But, as you cry for them, you also get nervous about the X-Ops crew in the East Coast as they face their biggest challenge yet.

X-Ops Exposed” is Rated M for Mature due to violence and sexual content.

Description

Lion hybrid and former Army Ranger Tanner Howland retreats into the forests of Washington State to be alone—he’s too dangerous to be around people. He had to leave the love of his life behind but little does he know, she followed him.

Dr. Zarina Sokolov has an anti-serum she hopes will make Tanner human again. But before she can convince him to take it, they discover he isn’t the only hybrid that survived the experiment. And there are people who want to use the hybrid shifters for sport, pitting them against each other for money. But does Tanner have what it takes to save his fellow hybrids and Zarina—or will he lose control again?
