BIEL, SWITZERLAND, APRIL 29, 2013 – Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry hosted a special, invitation-only performance by Rita Ora on Friday at Dreispitzhalle, an industrial event space in Basel, Switzerland.
Held during BaselWorld 2013, the world’s largest watch and jewelry fair, the event also featured a preview of the new 2013 Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry line.
For her exclusive performance, Rita wore a Calvin Klein Collection look, paired with pieces from the new Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry line. Rita, who recently performed at a Calvin Klein Jeans event in London, is well known to the Calvin Klein customer through her past appearance in a ck one jeans, underwear and fragrance global advertising campaign. Event guests also enjoyed a special set by New York City-based DJ Mike Nouveau.
Photographer, blogger, and model Hanneli Mustaparta, who is a contributor to Calvin Klein’s official Tumblr blog (calvinklein.tumblr.com), was on hand to cover the event. Popular bloggers Bryan Yambao (pen name Bryanboy) and Lily Kwong were also in attendance as guests for the evening.
Ms. Mustaparta, Mr. Yambao and Ms. Kwong were all wardrobed in Calvin Klein Collection and the latest styles from the Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry line. All of the women’s looks for the evening were designed by Francisco Costa, the brands’ Women’s Creative Director, and Mr. Yambao’s look was designed by Italo Zucchelli, the brands’ Men’s Creative Director.
The modern and minimalist Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry line were designed under the creative direction of Ulrich Grimm, who serves as the Creative Director of Calvin Klein’s Men’s & Women’s Shoes & Accessories.
Highlights from the 2013 Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry line include the elegant ck dress watch, which offers women the functions that they expect from a watch combined with the elegance of a piece of jewelry.
Another key timepiece, the unisex ck eager, is a brushed stainless steel watch that asserts a masterful presence on the wrist.
The original ck classic watch has been newly redesigned for 2013 to accentuate contemporary style, yet still retain functional sophistication and a relaxed simplicity.
ck undulate, one of the key jewelry offerings for the season, includes two pendant necklace and ring styles and a set of delicate earrings that showcase sleek and rounded shapes.
Laura Burdese, President of Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry, and Ulrich Grimm, Creative Director of Calvin Klein’s Men’s and Women’s Shoes and Accessories, were also in attendance along with other key executives from the company.
