Since we can safely assume that most of you aren’t the type to be at home on the range, here’s a city girl’s tip on the fine art of dating a cowboy:
Save your fancy boots and sparkly jeans for when you and your cowboy are going honky-tonking. Those suede boots with the four-inch fringe are really cute, and you’ll be the darling of the honky-tonk whenever you wear them, but they aren’t made for riding or cleaning out stalls.
Get some sensible boots for hanging out at the barn, preferably in tan or brown because that’s the color they’ll be most of the time anyway. Your jeans should be sturdy but worn, and definitely not ripped at the knees.
