Of Lebanese descent, London born Ronald Abdala trained in Los Angeles, Beirut and London before being appointed senior designer for Maison Rabih Kayrouz in 2004.
Shortly after this he launched his own line of womenswear. Abdala’s designs focus closely on the human form, using bold and architectural cuts but delivered with fluidity, making for edgy yet sophisticated pieces. www.houseofronald.com
For this season, House of Ronald presented the collection “Bulletproof” which conjures images of women as modern warriors, not afraid to display strength and rebellion, without negating their femininity or beauty.
Just as the title implies, Bulletproof is very much about women’s resilience towards all forms of adversity or aggression.
The collection features a range of sequins, satins, crepes, gazars, and velvet fabrics juxtaposed with bullet accessories and or printed geometric bullet motifs. In line with its theme, the palette of colors is a range of brass, silver and gold with hues of navy blues, reds, and black.
