NEW YORK, Oct 22, 2012/ — The iconic Parisian childrenswear line has collaborated with Chinese contemporary artist Ji-Ji on a limited-edition collection features pajamas, t-shirts and notebooks available for babies, children, older girls and their mothers.
The pandas were created by Ji-Ji to represent the social symbols of new China in the early 2000s. Featured in the “China Design Now” exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum in 2008, the “Hi Panda” exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo in 2010, and most recently the “Who are you Peter Pan?” exhibition at the Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton in 2011. Ji Ji also designed the scenography for the UGC Villa at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
Available since September 2012, the capsule collection created by Christine Innamorato, Bonpoint’s Artistic Director, takes the celebrated panda and gives it that extra level of cuteness – adorning them with Bonpoint’s emblematic signature cherries!
