World renowned designer Karl Lagerfeld visited the Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 for a photo call followed by a private event in Toronto, Canada.
The appearance by Mr. Lagerfeld marked his first visit to Canada, celebrating his unique collaboration in the creation of the lobbies for the Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos; the newest property by Freed Developments and CD Capital Developments.
“It’s interesting to design public spaces in a big building like this. It’s a vision – you can use modern furniture, modern architecture – things I’m really interested in. It’s up to me to find an idea of what will make this building different from the other buildings. The minute you enter, you have to feel that you’re in a place that’s special,” commented Karl Lagerfeld.
Hosted by Peter Freed, President of Freed Developments, Jordan Dermer and Todd Cowan, Managing Partners of CD Capital Developments, guests were welcomed into a glamourous venue, complete with crystal chandeliers, Perrier Jouet champagne and music courtesy of New York City model and DJ Leigh Lezark of the Misshapes.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Karl Lagerfeld to Canada as together with his design of the lobbies of the Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos we will create a world class address.” Peter Freed, President of Freed Developments.
This is the first real estate project in North America to involve the creative direction of Mr. Lagerfeld.
On April 25th, the public is invited to visit the Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos for the grand opening of the presentation centre.
