Fatal Jeopardy: Book Seven of The Fatal Series, Book 7 of the Fatal Series by New York Times bestselling Fatal Series author Marie Force, released in e-book and audio on Monday, March 24, 2014. The Fatal Series is set in the D.C. area, where Force worked for 15 years, giving her an insider’s view of the capital city.
Fatal Jeopardy: Book Seven of The Fatal Series continues to follow Sam, a smart-mouth homicide detective married to Nick, a United States Senator, through their high-profile jobs and complex family relationships set against a backdrop of tumultuous politics and romance.
The couple’s hope for a restful holiday with their son is destroyed when they find Sam’s niece, Brooke, barely conscious and covered in blood. Sam begins to wonder if her niece is telling her everything she knows about what happened when suspicious images from the night in question appear on social media. It’s an emotionally charged and deeply personal case.
Force got the idea for the Fatal Series when a congressman was found dead in his D.C.-area home. Initially investigated as a potential crime, it was later determined he died of natural causes. “What if he’d been murdered?” Force asked herself. “Who would’ve had jurisdiction?” “How would it have been investigated?” The original book, Fatal Affair, and the Fatal Series originated from these questions.
While the Fatal Series books were originally published as e-books by Harlequin’s Carina Press, Fatal Affair, the first book in the series, is now available in mass-market paperback everywhere books are sold, including Barnes & Noble, WalMart and Target stores.
Four more Fatal Series books will be released in print in 2014, including Fatal Justice, which is out on March 25, 2014 in print.
