DALLAS, Jul 23, 2012/ — As MTV reported from Comic-Con in San Diego, the Star Trek sequel which is a follow up to 2009’s J.J. Abrams-directed reboot is still untitled up to now.
In the sequel, Abrams returns to direct from a script by Damon Lindelof and the writing team of Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. But fans are still eagerly waiting for the reveal of the title.
Co-producer Damon Lindelof and company have been plugging away at figuring out the name. “There have been more conversations about what we’re going to call it than went into actually shooting it at this point,” he said.

The Star Trek sequel is planned for a theatrical release on May 17, 2013, both 3D and 2D versions.
Much of the cast reprises their role with Sherlock’s Benedict Cumberbatch stepping into the role of the villain.
