The Korea Fashion Association presents K-Fashion Sensation

NEW YORK, Oct 12, 2012/ — Wednesday night, the Korean Fashion Association celebrated K-Fashion Sensation at The Dream Downtown. The event was hosted and styled by world-renowned stylist, Patricia Field. This season’s K-Fashion Sensation presented two Korean brands, Morine Comte Marant and Buckaroo Jeans to New York buyers and press for the first time.

Partygoers including notable attendees such as PATRICIA FIELD, ROBERT VERDI, TOM SILVERMAN, RICHIE RICH, NARY MANIVONG, THE BLONDS and more. Guests enjoyed K-Pop music by KILL THE DJ, Korean hors d’oeuvres, and Korean Soju cocktails. Charli, a famed K-Tech robot, pumped up the crowd with the ever-popular “Gangnam Style” dance.

Patricia Field’s involvement in K-Fashion Sensation stems from her recent visit to Seoul in June. Invited by the Korean Government, Field visited the stores of the two brands, Buckaroo and Morine Comte Marant, and chose them to showcase in New York. The presentation themed, “Good Girls Love Bad Boys” contrasted Morine Comte Marant’s flirty, feminine style against Buckaroo Jean’s tough, masculine image.

The Korea Fashion Association is a corporate body established in 1985 under the Ministry of Knowledge Economy with the purpose to advance the Korean fashion industry with approximately 300 total fashion companies including domestic national fashion brands, fashion designer’s brands, trading companies and fashion related businesses as our members, Korea Fashion Association has been taking the initiative to protect the rights of our members and promote our members, and strengthen and globalize the competitiveness of the Korean fashion industry.
