Move over Hallmark! Papyrus just became the coolest greeting card maker with Zang Toi joining the social expressions company to bring pop of couture to an exclusive card line.
Known for creations that is nearer haute couture than ready-to-wear, Zang Toi is a master of his craft. And that mastery is once again emphasized in his collaboration with Papyrus as he turned his 3D (clothes) designs into 2D (greeting cards).
Initial offering from the Malaysian-born, New York-based designer are 24 unique cards and two boxed notes that are evocative of Toi’s intricate and meticulously embellished style. Treatments including textured fabrics, jewels, beading, feathers and intricate stitching adorn his glamorous, custom collection.
The line is now available exclusively online at papyrusonline.com and launches in New York City Papyrus stores and select retailers in September during New York Fashion Week. The collection will be available nationwide in October. For a list of store locations, visit: papyrusonline.com.
For the Papyrus Fashion Designer Collaboration Series, Zang Toi joins Texas-born designer Lela Rose in the roster, making both designers the charter members of this unique joint venture that marks the first time fashion houses and a greeting card brand have partnered to create custom greeting card lines.
