NEW YORK, Sep 12, 2012/ — Sunday, Sep 9th, it was a photographers’ mayhem backstage at Y-3 with a gaggle of celebrities attending beginning with David Beckham.

With designer Yohji Yamamoto as host and Fashion Director of The Daily Telegraph Hilary Alexander interviewing everyone for an exclusive video, David Beckham quotes, adidas has supported me throughout my football career and I feel like I’m part of this adidas family. I’m really happy to be here to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Y-3.”

Commenting on the collaboration between Yohji Yamamoto and adidas, David Beckham said, “I really appreciate the fact that adidas as a sports company had the vision 10 years ago to team up with a fashion designer like Yohji Yamamoto to create Y-3. It’s a perfect fusion of sport and fashion. Absolutely pioneering!”

And on his own role in adidas, Beckham said, “Working with adidas has been great. They’ve been there with me throughout my football career. We worked closely on creating incredible football gear, but they also gave me the chance to show off my own creativity and style through the adidas Originals ObyO collaboration we worked on. It’s been incredibly rewarding.”
