Rating:

Gripping!
5 Stars

A GRIPPING read from beginning to end, “Every Breath You Take” follows Hollin and Griffin, two teenagers whose teen angst led to bad decisions that caused their downfall, this disgrace defining them as adults.

***SPOILER ALERT***

Raped when she was 15, Hollin Pierce left their small town to heal and to forget but when she returned 13 years later she found out, she still had to confront her attacker so that she could let go of her fear.

Accused and convicted of Hollin’s rape, Griffin Wells maintains up to today his innocence. After spending three years in jail, he went back to his hometown where against all odds he became a financially successful with his construction company.

Hollin’s return opened up old wounds in Griffin, yet no matter how much he tells himself that he hates her for falsely accusing him, the attraction and tenderness he felt for her when they were teenagers kept on surfacing. Hollin felt the same way. The adult Griffin stirs up the same longing she had as the teen Griffin.

As Hollin’s attraction for Griffin grew, she realizes that Griffin could not be the rapist and when memories of that fatal night became clearer, she realized Griffin’s innocence and this means that whoever attacked her is still out there.

In a race against time, Griffin and Hollin had to find who the real rapist is or they will lose the fledgling relationship they have.

Fast-paced and tightly written, all characters in the book were developed properly; everyone of them including the unknown assailant were given a voice and thus heightening the drama further.

It’s a thrilling ride from the prologue till the end. This book is rated M for Mature due to subject matter.
