Book Review: Lord of Vice by Erica Ridley

For “Lord of Vice,” the sixth book of the Rogues to Riches series, author Erica Ridley did a gender swap – the heroine was the aristocrat while the hero was the commoner. They share one thing in common though – both are very good at numbers and both are good in turning profitable investments.

But, a talent in business is not the only thing they share. Maxwell Gideon and Miss Bryony Grenville co-owns the gambling den that gave Maxwell his nickname “Lord of Vice.” Their partnership would end soon, thanks to the sunset clause in their contract.

Bryony could have waited for the deadline and make a ton of money, but she was impatient and also very curious about Max. Like a cat, she gave in to her curiosity. And if Bryony was not careful, she could end up like the old saying – curiosity killed the cat, figuratively speaking of course.

A very easy and enjoyable read, “Lord of Vice” is one of those books that you can make the cool autumn days pleasant and dreamy. A feel-good romance, “Lord of Vice” is Rated T for Teens.
